Happy birthday Sandi,
I wanted to share some memories about the day you were born. You came into the world a few weeks early due to a car accident we were in the week before you were born. The accident was in Wyoming so as soon as we got back to Fort Collins I went to emergency AND our family chiropractor. The chiropractor told us to expect you along anytime. Exactly a week later, Cliff was at work and I was at home at the trailer having a "stomach ache". When mom and dad stopped by after visiting Lon, mom let me know I was in labor and we headed to good old Poudre Valley Memorial hospital. The labor room was quite a bit different back then, mom and Cliff traded off staying with me while I hallucinated through the inducement meds. I kept thinking there was a worm crawling down a long hall and there was a lion at the end. I guess I kept yelling for people not to let the lion eat the worm. After all the excitement, Sandi was born and she was just a tiny little thing, not much over 5 pounds. None of the little clothes we had would fit so grandma went on the hunt for doll clothes. After that, she was always grandma's "little dolly".

Sept. 5, Lon's Birthday
Hi All, today is Lon's birthday so we want to wish him the best! I remember the weekend he was born. Funny thing, it was Labor day weekend then as well. Mom and dad got the call in Fort Collins and headed out to Denver to welcome Lon into the world. We we were all very excited for his arrival and he was a good sized baby. "Grandma and Grandpa" Dunn could not have been prouder!
I was a happy aunt as well since my new nephew and my new baby would be clolse and be able to grow up together. Bonnie and I had really bonded during our pregnancies. Through the hot summer, we went on quite a few fishing trips up the Poudre canyon, to Gould and the Little Larimer river. Because of our "condition" we rode in style over all the bumps in grandpa's pride and joy, the green Buick Electra 225.
I could not have imagined how close the babies would be. On the way home from Denver, Mom and Dad stopped by the trailer to check on me and I had gone in to labor. Needless to say, they took me to the hospital to have their second grandchild of the weekend! It was truly, a Labor Day weekend, right Bonnie? Mary Ellen

The Start of Our Family Blog
Hi everyone, I thought it would be a great time to put my first post up and also congratulate the newest member of the family, baby Eli! We wish his parents Jan and Kim, and all the proud grandparents best wishes.
I hope this blog will become a place where our family can meet and keep in touch. I also would hope we can post our past and present family pictures, as well as memories and family stories so our younger family members can get to know about our family members who are no longer with us. Mary Ellen
